Films entered in multiple categories may win multiple awards.
A monthly film festival with yearly live screening at Raleigh Studios, Hollywood exclusively for Documentaries.
An exclusive Documentary Monthly Film Festival with a Yearly Red Carpet Interviews, Live Screening and Award Ceremony at Raleigh Studios, Hollywood.
Winners from Dec 2016 to Dec 2017 will be invited to attend the Mega Red Carpet HIIDA Event which will be held on March 24, 2018.
All winning filmmakers throughout the year will come under one roof to celebrate their wins!
Films entered in multiple categories may win multiple awards!
Each and every documentary subject / stories is so unique, hence our entries will not compete against each other. They will be judged on the Merit of the film.
HIIDA's goal is to promote and recognize documentary filmmakers from around the world. We at HIIDA value the difficulties that documentary filmmakers go through, be it subject, locations and on top of all funding and distribution.

The films accepted as official selection will be notified only via FilmFreeway email with the download links to the Laurels.
Then the entries will be processed for Judging award consideration..

Best Photo/Photography
Best Talent on Camera

Best Young Filmmaker - 18 and younger
Each Winner will be contacted to send the Laurels and Award certificate.
Winners will also be announced on our social media pages and our website.
The number of awards given every month varies on the basis of the submissions we receive.
Rules & Eligibility
1. Short Documentary must be under 40 minutes and Feature Documentary should be at least 40 mins or more.
2. All foreign Submissions must be subtitled.
3. One film can be entered in multiple categories.
4. Online screeners, and posters are mandatory and must be uploaded in FilmFreeway’s site.
5. HIIDA does not make your film available online.
We believe every department works hard in making a film, hence, we have many categories.
